MeterEase Subprocessors

This page lists the third-party service providers that MeterEase, LLC (“MeterEase”) uses to run https://meterease.com and the MeterEase application (the “Service”) and that may process landlord account data or tenant data that landlords enter. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Questions: [email protected].

Service providers

Cloudflare, Inc.

  • Purpose: Hosting for the app and this website (Workers and Pages), the database (D1), file storage (R2), network delivery, and request logs.
  • Data involved: All Service data: landlord accounts, properties and units, tenant names and contact details, uploaded bills and documents, generated PDFs, and reply threads; visitor IP addresses and request logs.
  • Location: United States (company); content is served from Cloudflare’s global network.
  • Privacy terms: Privacy Policy · Customer DPA

Stripe, Inc.

  • Purpose: Subscription billing, card collection at signup, and the billing portal.
  • Data involved: Landlord name, email, billing details, plan and invoice records, and payment method (held by Stripe; MeterEase does not store full card numbers). No tenant data.
  • Location: United States.
  • Privacy terms: Privacy Policy · DPA

Resend

  • Purpose: Sending email (tenant share emails and attachments, reminders, account and password emails) and receiving email (tenant replies and forwarded bills).
  • Data involved: Recipient names and email addresses, message content, attached bills and PDFs, and replies sent to MeterEase reply or bill-forwarding addresses.
  • Location: United States (Resend lists its hosting provider in the USA).

Twilio Inc.

  • Purpose: Opt-in text notices to tenants on the Portfolio plan, only when the landlord turns them on.
  • Data involved: Tenant mobile number and a short notice that a share is ready. Texts do not include amounts.
  • Location: United States.

Marketing website

HighLevel (white-label service via SalesOnDemand)

  • Purpose: The lead form and analytics-only tracking on meterease.com marketing pages, and follow-up on inquiries.
  • Data involved: What a visitor enters in the lead form, and site-usage data from analytics cookies. Not landlord product data, bills, or tenant records.
  • Location: United States.

Integrations you choose to connect

These services receive data only if a landlord connects them, at that landlord’s direction, under the landlord’s own account with the provider.

Intuit Inc. (QuickBooks Online)

  • Purpose: Optional QuickBooks connection from Settings.
  • Data involved: Sign-in tokens for the connected QuickBooks company and its company name. This build connects, refreshes, and disconnects only; it does not post entries.

DoorLoop

  • Purpose: Optional posting of tenant utility charges to DoorLoop leases, using the landlord’s own DoorLoop API key.
  • Data involved: Lease reference, charge amount, date, account, and memo for each posted charge.
